'Zephyr' by Philip Roberts 16x16

'Zephyr" by Philip Roberts is a 12 Layer wood wall piece measuring approximately 16" x 16". This piece has a hint of blue to enhance the depth of the hills and sweeping curves that weave through the design. This smaller wall piece has a rich visual texture with detailed patterns that beckons for you to take a closer look.  

"Living at the top of a hill, we are no stranger to high winds.  A Zephyr is a soft gentle breeze, with its roots in Latin, meaning the god of the West wind. Seemed appropriate. ~PR

Notches for mounting are designed into the wood back so it's ready to hang, either vertical or horizontal.

Constructed from various plywood, each piece turns out slightly different due the plywood's natural grain and how the wood accepts the stain. Most commonly, Mahogany, Red Oak, and White Birch are use. Some layers are stained different colors in order to enhance the design's depth. As natural light changes through your space, shadows cast intriguing movement to this piece's appearance.
