Product Description
French Butter Crock or Butter Bell from Clay in Motion keeps butter fresh and spreadable right from your table.
Directions:
Soften a stick of butter and use a knife or spoon to pack it tightly into the top bell section. Fill the bottom piece 1/3 to 1/2 full of water so it seals the butter away from exposure to air. To store, invert the top bell and place to the water filled bottom and leave on your table or countertop. No refrigeration necessary. Remove the top and turn over to serve. Change the water every few days for your butter to stay fresh indefinitely. We suggest cleaning your butter crock completely before refilling with more butter. If you use unsalted butter, we recommend adding a pinch of salt with water refills.
Each porcelain form is hand glazed, so colors and patterns may vary slightly from photos shown. Looking for a specific Clay in Motion piece that you can't find on our site or have a special glaze request? We can get a lot more of Clay in Motion's amazing pottery than we have room to display on our website.
