Product Description
Houston Llew Spiritile #255, "Brush Stroke"
Quote: "Life is a work of art. It begins blank and every day is another brush stroke." - Unknown
Every Spiritile is handcrafted in Atlanta, Georgia from copper, glass, and wood. Finely ground colored glass is sifted onto copper, then fired by kiln. Before set, the piece is pulled from the kiln and rolled with a heavy metal roller which makes the cracks. This brings light and variety into the piece. Then it is clipped and wrapped around a block of wood for support. "It's like drawing with sand then toasting it on a very hot fire." says Houston.
With all new tiles released, other Spiritiles are retired. They will not fade, and are created to endure for generations. To collectors, Spiritiles visually share the brilliant moments that make up the unique story of life.
