Sergio

Sergio Lub is an American artist of Russian descent, born in Argentina in 1953. An avid researcher, he explored every continent to learn his craft.  From the Andes to the Himalayas, the Sahara to the Amazon, Sergio met with master craftsmen who taught him ancient metalworking techniques, and shared their inherent beliefs of wearing metals for health and vitality.  Sergio respectfully preserves these cultural traditions by incorporating them in the design and creation of his jewelry

"We individually handcraft each of our bracelets in our Northern California Studios.  Our bracelets are adjustable and designed to be worn continuously; aging gracefully, they last for years.   We use only solid metals, consisting of Copper – 99.99% Pure Copper (Rose), Jewelers’ Brass – 85% Copper (Golden) and German Silver – 65% Copper (Silver).  Copper, our primary material of choice, is considered one of the most essential trace minerals for the human body. Since copper is absorbed through the skin, our bracelets can serve as a natural time-release source of this precious mineral.

"Each of our magnetic bracelets contains two powerful Rare Earth Magnets: one at each bracelet tip, carefully positioned to be worn over the wrist’s pressure points. Research has shown that magnetic fields influence biological systems, believed to attract and repel charged particles in the blood stream increasing circulation, stimulate tissue regeneration and reduce pain. In 1954, Dr. Linus Pauling received a Nobel Prize for his discovery of the magnetic properties of hemoglobin. Pauling found that iron, and many electrolytic salts in our blood, circulate bio-magnetically. Therefore, the proximity of a magnetic field may result in an acceleration of circulation and the transfer of energy to all areas of the body.

"Chinese doctors have believed for millennia that a magnetic field, when next to the body, could markedly increase the wearer’s vital life force, known as ‘Chi’. The observed benefits were found to increase with the magnets’ proximity to acupressure points. We carefully place magnets in our bracelets near two important pressure points of the wrist."
