Dawn has a passion for life which she expresses through oil painting, utilizing bold strokes of brush and palette knife with rich colors and dramatic lighting. From her home in Estes Park she draws inspiration from living amidst the Rockies. Dawn earned an Associate degree in Fine Art at AIMS Community College, and continued studying fine art at the University of Northern Colorado, graduating with a BS in Psychology. She further studied painting at the Arts Student's League of Denver as well as the Loveland Fine Arts Academy. Dawn attributes her growth as an artist to several of Colorado's finest artists including Michelle Torrez, Don Sahli, Doug Erion, Karol Mack, Jim Biggers, Kathy Goodale, Teresa Vito, Kim English, Ken Valastro, George Coll, Kevin Weckbach, Ed Herrmann, Patti Andre and John Budicin. She is an ever evolving expressionist, and believes that the path through art is always changing with potential for growth. Dawn teaches private, public, group, and individual lessons in the United States and abroad.
