"Dagger" by Rollin Karg is a sculptural piece consisting of a multi-piece metal base and a hand blown piece of glass. The glass has a small hole in the back of it which attaches to the metal base. Over all, the piece is 17" long by 7" high.
The glass piece is the in the color "Reactive Blue" which is a signature color of Rollin's collection. The color is made by combining dichroic glass with light blue background that features stripes and dots of different colors encased in clear glass. Dichroic glass contains micro metal flakes which allow the glass to become iridescent and shimmer.
"Who said that art isn’t functional? Art gives any static location life. Glass sculptures are a dynamic, dimensional and intoxicating art form that creates a level of sophistication and aesthetic beauty… anywhere." — Rollin Karg
